One day after school, three months had passed since our family moved to Portugal, and my mom had not gone to a lot of stores yet. When we got home from school, the electricity had gone out! Since my mom had not gone to a lot of stores, she had to go to two stores to buy candles. When she came back, she put the candles everywhere around the apartment. Since our oven was gas, she could still cook. Soon she boiled water and poured it into the bathtub so we could take baths. Since the t.v. and electronics were out, we read books. I read a few books near the candles. Soon the power was back on and that was good.
